  1. The only one I don't remember reading about is number 11. I read a lot about the American Revolution, to me it is a fascinating time.

    My 13 are up.

  3. "Here a Lee, there a Lee, everywhere a Lee, a Lee!!" I do so love the Revolution and everything about history. And I think I do because of all the fabulous teachers I had who loved it, too. Keep on posting, because I love benefiting from all your hard work.

Sorry I just gave you links and didn't write about the wonderful patriots myself, but time has been so tight this week. I'm up to my elbows in paperwork for school.

As my father's family is from, and still resides, in Westmoreland County, Virginia (the Athens of America), with strong Lee and Washington connections, I was happy to see two of the five Lee brothers mentioned. The one overlooked is Arthur Lee, who is a fascinating character and true patriot.

Other overlooked patriots to add to a longer list would be, Haym Solomon, George Mason, Commmodore Barry, and Thomas Nelson, Jr.
Oh. And let's not forget Martha Washington, who accompanied her husband several times and brought supplies.

    Keep up the good work!
