It's been years since I went to the USS Arizona memorial, but I still remember it clearly. A very sad place, but beautiful all the same.

Hello all,
ReplyDeleteJust a quick note to teachers looking for a new angle for Pearl Harbor Day lesson plans.
Visit thinkfinity.org, a website designed to provide teachers with free access to engaging educational resources to bring their lesson plans to life.
All the resources are provided for FREE by some of the nation’s top educational organizations including: National Geographic, The International Reading Association and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
On the homepage, you’ll find a link to Pearl Harbor resources including:
- An attack map
- A copy of the original telegraph the Navy sent notifying officers of the attack
- A copy of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s address to the nation. The print shows the President’s handwritten edits, including crossing out a few words to add “live in infamy.”
- A lesson plan comparing the impact of Sept. 11 and Pearl Harbor
- A brand new “Road to Pearl Harbor” lesson plan and resources from the National Endowment for the Humanities’ EDSITEment.
The website will continue to be updated until tomorrow morning, so please check back for additional resources.
Thinkfinity.org is the Verizon Foundation’s free, comprehensive program and online portal to more than 55,000 educational resources, including standards-based, grade-specific, K-12 lesson plans and other interactive tools and materials for teachers and students provided in partnership with many of the nation’s leading educational and literacy organizations. Thinkfinity.org is designed to help teachers gain access to online resources quickly and requires no passwords or software downloads.
Wonderful links. That's going to take me some while to absorb. :)
