Staking My Claim...Again

Some things just bear repeating.

I’ve been at the beach…again…for the last couple of days, so it’s more than appropriate to share a repeat of an earlier post written on this very same beach three years ago this month…..

Mr. EHT and I were up and out very early this morning enjoying yet another sunrise on MY beach.

It is not lost on me how things change….and how they remain the same.

Enjoy my post I Conquer This Beach in the Name of ElementaryHistoryTeacher!

  1. Is that sunrise or sunset? I'm guessing sunrise, since you're on the east coast. Unless of course, you are down on the west coast of Florida......

No sunrises over the ocean out here in California.....

Hope you had a relaxing weekend!

  2. Great story...I grew up in that Pensacola part of the world, and spent many days there quietly staking my claim, the last one to leave once it got dark.

  3. A sunrise Polski....It was so lovely.

Tracie, it's a beautiful part of the Florida/Alabama coast.

Judy, thanks for letting me know you are out there reading. I'm off to visit your link.

  4. Judy....I looked at the site and visited a link on government spending flashcards. It looks very interesting. After your students have used it for a few days drop me an email (see the the sidebar for my address) and let me know your thought. This seems like a really good way to get kids online....learning...and interacting with others.

  6. Teachers used to have that image...always doing the right thing, always saying the right thing… But know, the perspective of seeing the teachers has changed a lot. Teachers too are human and should be allow to lead their lives as per their wish. Teaching profession never checks you from doing what you think is right and good for you.
