Wordless 34

500 years of women in art......

Isn't this just wonderful? A few people have worked very hard identifying every single image from this presentation....see it here.

The creator has a website here.

Participate in Wordless here.

Here is my explanation for last week’s image.

  1. This was unbelievably awesome!
Thank you for bringing this to my attention!

Now, if you were to add a piece of music to accompany this, what would you choose? (Immediately I thought of the love theme from Cinema Paradiso, but there are others that also came to mind.)

  2. What an excellent set presentation. I must admit I didn't recognise a lot of them. Happy WW

  3. Tour Marm, did you not hear the music with it?

Make sure your speaker is up.

The piece is Bach’s Sarabande from Suite for Solo Cello No. 1 in G Major and is performed by Yoyo Ma

  5. Well, if I could stop it my choice would be the more modern A Portrait of a Young Lady by de Blaas. Second choice would be any of Leonardo da Vinci's works.
I think it is very nice to have started with a Russian Icon.
Thanks for the visit and comment, Happy WW!

I think I've seen that before somewhere. That's a great video.

And thanks EHT for your comment at my place. You can't imagine what it meant to me coming from you.

  15. Crazy Working Mom....I bet you saw this on "ICaught" last night. "Good Morning America" did a preview for the show and I saw this clip and thought it was something I could use later in class.
