ReplyDeleteThat's the Alhambra. It's a palace/fortress built by the Moors when they occupied Spain. It's famous for its beauty and artwork.
Oh! I forgot the main part of the question! Had to look this part up.
ReplyDeleteWashington Irving once stayed there and wrote a series of short stories titled "Tales of the Alhambra".
Did not know that.

ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and guessing....Grift Drift takes the honors this week. The pictures are of the Alhambra in Spain and Washington Irving did indeed reside in the palace for a time while he was researching a book on Christopher Columbus. Irving will be a topic of a post very soon.
