Those in-services are ridiculous. The only thing that helps me to cope is if I come away with at least one thing I can use it's a good day. It happens rarely. Most of the info is a rehash/remix of previous things.....many that I already do.
I will try to put up my explanation today or tomorrow.
I have been racking my brain to figure this one. It must be an heraldic device for someone. The three stars caught my attention and led me on a wild goose chase down the route of Columbus (3 ships on first voyage). The stripes reminded me of the House of Aragon's, so I tried some Spanish explorers. Then I went English with those connected to the Jamestown Settlement (three ships), but no luck. Thanks for the exercise.
Hi Keith...I hope you learned something on your "expedition." The image is a coat of arms and it involves the naming of America. Check out the link to my explanation in this post.
Hi! Thanks for visiting History Is Elementary and for taking the time to make a comment. Unfortunately, I have had to enable comment moderation due to a rash of spammy comments. Your legitimate and on topic comment is important to me and to the other readers of this site.
I wish I had even the slightest idea. I feel like a dummy. I'll be back for the answer! Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteMilitary patch of some sort but other than that I am clueless as well as wordless!
ReplyDeleteIt's not a military patch. What else could it be?
ReplyDeleteThis one has me stumped.
ReplyDeleteIs it a road sign?
The colors remind me of the Swiss Guard.
Nope....not a road sign.
ReplyDeleteHere's a hint....my post involves the history of a name and this object at one time represented someone's name.
What could this object be?
I spent 8 hours at a brain-numbing (no, brain-killing) in-service. And I can't think any longer! Please tell us!
