Of course there is no question that this is an image of an American operating room. Thinking of doctors and medical care in this country in general are they part of the ingredients that make the United States a great nation? What are the implications for mandated government controlled healthcare some presidential candidates are promoting?

IMO, government involvement in health care will make the price go up, lead to more corruption and skunkery, less choice and god only knows how much more in taxes. There might be a chance for whatever government health care program develops, if our Executive, Legislative and Judicial branch officials are required to utilize its services. But I'd guess, if it happens, it will lead to three health care systems; one for those stuck with the government program, one for the wealthy (which would probably include the majority of our policy makers and enforcers) and one for those who still have the ability to pay for their own health care from providers who will still take "individuals". I don't think any of this will be good.
I heartily agree Polski3. Instead of regulating you and I and telling us who are medical providers are I would much rather see more regulation with the insurance companies if legislators feel they must pass laws in some way. The insurance companies have too control over individuals and medical personnel. They often make more medical decisions than business ones.....
