Since I am first, I should leave some kind of great answer, right? Naturally it should be the correct answer...but sorry it's not coming from me. I have no clue what this is. But, it does look sort of Egyptian like to me. I'll be looking next week for the correct answer!

Hm, no, but I don't know much about your history at all. How ever, I must say that it's a very impressive statue! A fine piece of art.
I've either got to stop visiting your site or start boning up before I visit. No clue.

But it is an Art Deco sculptor who did not understand a woman's anatomy.
I'm in between tours and slammed with work, otherwise I would do some serious research.
I can't decide whether it is a war memorial or 'Justice'.
Personally, I think it's ghastly.
Silly me! She can't be justice because she is not blindfolded.
So the sword, cup, and laurel in her hair would indicate a war monument or memorial

While I've only been there twice there is a 23 foot indoor statue called, Memory, at the Virginia War Memorial designed by Leo Friedlander and sculpted by Joseph Campo and William Kapp. The lines are softer, but perhaps your subject was an earlier work by one of these men. You might be pleased to know it is out of Georgia Marble.
I am convinced yours is a battlefield or war memorial signifying victory as evidenced by the sword, bowl, and laurel.

Here's a hint. The statue is very large and it is in a foreign country.
I happened across it as I was looking for pictures of something else.....I had never seen it before...didn't know it existed.....and thought it was also a little creepy.

It's really a poor example of Art Deco (not the Streamline Moderne type of Deco)
I've been looking throughout the US and thought that it was unlikely that something so kitchy would have eluded me!
