Genealogy of a Blog Award...er...Meme

Sometime ago I was awarded with a thinking blogger award.

Have you ever wondered how those things get started and where it ended up after it left your lovely site?

Check the link above to find out how it all started and who the first five recipients were.

Mr. Incognito over at Almost Anonymous was curious and did a little backtracking to discover the family tree branch that brought the Thinking Blogger Award to his worthy site.

responding to your post on my blog: (didn't know how to email you)

"Is the African American history integrated with other standards or is it a seperate course? Elective? It sounds really interesting."

It is a completely separate course. I think it will be a semester long. It is an elective; however, I believe there is a movement to make it a required course. Since my school largely African American, I believe this course will pick up steam and their will be alot of people signing up for it in future school years.

Thanks for visiting my blog, I know that i don't have that much to say, but it sure allows me to think about things that are going on in my world. Its exciting to read so many teachers blogs, I didn't know that their were so many war stories/blogs out there.

This is an interesting award. I saw it the other day (April 10th) on a blog entitled, "Adventures of a Christian Collegian" (http://collegejay.blogspot.com/2007/04/thinking-blogs.html)

It's odd how it travels the blogosphere, floating from one genre to another. The only tenuous connection (not that there needs to e a connection) is that this guy hopes to be a English teacher when he graduates.

BTW, thanks for the comment and encouragement about my classes. I don't really mind the core classes all that much. I do see the foundation they lay and appreciate them if for nothing else just the exposure to learning. Which I thoroughly enjoy.

I was curious about the genealogy of my own award so traced it back to Another history blog, and then got sidetracked to your link. I think I'll stop now.
